Educator — ED
Teachers are expected to reach unattainable goals with inadequate tools.
The miracle is that at times they accomplish this impossible task.
— Haim G. Ginott
Take the time to know and connect with worlds that are vastly different from yours
—
your greatest discoveries reside there.

This must do programme connects teachers to a new world of digital technology and the world-wide-web that will change their lives forever ... and for the better!
Educator — ED
The government has finally agreed to provide educators with laptops, access to the Internet, and the necessary software so that they can effectively use the laptop to access resources and improve their performance as teachers. Alas! This incredible gift from the government does not provide for training that will allow educators to actually use this technology!
But wait! It gets worse. Before you can access this incredible tool, you, the educator, must source the appropriate technology and provide information such as the serial number of the laptop, an email address and the software license key! And then you have to find out, on your own, how to use this technology. Daunting? It certainly is.
That’s why THE FACILITATION WORKSHOP has devised an easily accessible, financially viable, but comprehensive programme, called Educator — ED. This programme gives you everything you need to be able to access and use this gift from the Government, including the following courses:
-
Communication — MS Word and business communication including writing skills.
-
Presentation — MS PowerPoint including presentation skills.
-
Financial — MS Excel including financial management skills.
-
Computer skills — General competence: file management, shortcut keys, function keys
and typing skills. -
Project management — MS Project and project management skill, but optional.
Finally, Educator — ED integrates both technological and professional development skills,
and presents an incredible opportunity for educators to move into the 21st century.
Funding is available from an education loan provider for this six-month, face-to-face training programme which is SACE registered, as well as certified and accredited by IPLT affiliated to the University of KwaZulu Natal. Negotiations are currently underway to allocate Continuous Professional Development Points (CPD) to this programme.
